    Typically once a week.

    There is no fixed duration. An average beginner student takes around 2-3 years to cover the basics. Some students learn quicker, some take more time.

    Yes. The teacher assigns pieces and exercises to practice every week.

    Yes, but not immediately. We start with western staff notation based method.
